Hike El Solitario
Exploring the Osorno Volcano
This excursion on El Solitario path gives a very comprehensive view of a large section of the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. It is a full-day naturalist adventure that will take us from the turquoise waters of the river Petrohué and its lava formed waterfalls, to the slopes of the Osorno volcano. We’ll cross the evergreen forest along the hiking paths. This is an excellent choice for photographers and for those that want to visit the park without any hurry and enjoy every single second. It’s perfect also for those that are looking for a balanced mix between an active and low difficulty hiking experience.
Length: 6 hours aprox.
Difficulty Level: Low, 3 hours walking, 6 km in irregular terrain with some parts upward.

Equipment required:Waterproof gear, trekking shoes, sun protection.
IMPORTANT: During the month of January we highly recommend wearing light colors clothing due the presence of horseflies that are attracted by dark colors.
