The Lake District is the gate to explore a unique ecosystem with a stunning biodiversity. This tour was specially designed for naturalist travelers who like to pedal and learn about nature without spending so much energy.

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel with the bikes loaded in the pickup truck. Then we will be driven 15 minutes from Puerto Varas towards the starting point of the excursion, located on interior roads that show us how farm life is.

We will be pedaling for 7 kilometers on gravel road untill reach our destination, the Natural Reserve Lahuen Ñadi, a gem of temperate rainforest with the last patch of Alerce forest that you can find in the central valley. In the reserve we will have a soft walk through a trail of 2 kilometers discovering the rich diversity of mosses, lichens, fungi, climbing vines, ferns and trees.

The temperate rainforest of the south of Chile is a unique forest in the world with a high endemism and a rich flora, a unique variety of birds and native species of amphibians. This excursion is the best chance to learn about this forests, to contribute to its protection for the future generations of our planet
